Chip retired in 2017 after working 30 years as a human services planner for both Herkimer and Oneida counties. As a longtime avid cyclist and hiker, he has had an ongoing interest in the development of a local trail system.

Jim is a central New York native and a Clinton resident since 1991. He is a retired physician with a firm belief in the health and wellness benefits of regular exercise and outdoor activity. He has enjoyed using recreational trails in several communities where he has lived or visited and is excited to help introduce trails to our area.

A resident of Clinton since 1984, Sharon and her husband, Ernest, raised their two children in their home on South St. She retired as Director of the Hamilton College Writing Center in 2016, and since then has been enjoying the retired life–including helping to launch Kirkland Trails!

Kathy Collett
Katherine Collett, College Archivist at Hamilton College, came to Clinton in 1986 with her physicist husband, Brian. Over the years Katherine has chaired the Clinton Child Care Center board, Kirkland Town Library Friends board, and currently the Kirkland Democratic Committee, and has been a member of Clinton School Board, St. James’ Vestry, and many committees. She and Brian live on Post Street with two dogs, a cat, and an Icelandic pony.

Joe Gale
Joseph Gale grew up in Clinton, and returned in 2001 with his wife Ann to live and raise their four daughters. Joe is a physician and co-owner of Mohawk Valley Retina. He has been a board member of the Central Association for the Blind and Visual Impaired for over 10 years. Joe resides on Craig Road in Clinton, and enjoys biking and swimming. For many years, “Coach Gale” has enjoyed teaching basketball, lacrosse, and soccer to his daughters and their friends.

Nick is a native of Clinton. He has been employed by the Butler Conservation Fund since 2009 as the Program Director with the Black River Outdoor Education Program (BROEP) and Adventure Sports Manager for the Black River Environmental Improvement Association (BREIA).

Christine is a Chemist for the Oneida County Water Pollution Control for over 30 years and and lives in Clinton with her husband, Thomas and two sons. Christine has earned 2 Engineering Technology degrees, one for Civil and the other in Electrical. Her interest is bike riding, cooking and swimming. She is a member of the Tramp N Trails as well as being a board member / officer for the Mohawk Valley Bicycling Club She was a volunteer in the Clinton School District for 13 years in the Kindergarten class and works part-time as an aide or teaching substitute for the past 12 years.
